- Do I need an account to sign a PDF?
- You (the sender) do — it takes about 20 seconds. Your signers do not. They get a private link, sign on any device, and you're notified the moment it's done.
- Is an electronic signature on a PDF legally binding?
- For ordinary business and personal contracts, yes — under the U.S. ESIGN Act and UETA, and as a Simple Electronic Signature (SES) under EU eIDAS. GetItSigned captures the evidence courts look for: affirmative signer consent to electronic records, email, IP address, user-agent, timestamp, and a SHA-256 hash of the signed file. GetItSigned does not yet produce an eIDAS Advanced or Qualified signature (AES/QES) — required for specific regulated EU workflows such as real-estate deeds or notarial acts.
